School terms in Forefront are customizable. By default, Forefront uses a school term of July 1 through June 30, which works well for most U.S. schools, whether the academic year runs from September to June, July to May, or another similar schedule.
Each year on July 1, Forefront accounts roll over to the new academic term. After rollover, courses and course content are ready to be re-activated with the upcoming school year’s rosters.
Once your district shares current school year rosters with Forefront, the Forefront support team or your district’s client success representative can map those rosters to the appropriate Forefront courses. This mapping is completed by Forefront team members and makes current rosters visible in the platform.
If your rosters have been shared with Forefront but are not appearing in the platform, please contact our team to request roster mapping.
Special Note for ClassLink Roster Syncs
Before removing or ending your district’s ClassLink rosters in ClassLink, please first delete the scheduled ClassLink job in Forefront.
To delete the scheduled job:
Navigate to the Jobs page.
Select the trash icon on the CLASSLINK_IMPORT row, as indicated in the below screenshot.
If the scheduled ClassLink-to-Forefront sync remains active, the next sync may remove Forefront rosters from the platform. This can impact historical and longitudinal reporting and may be difficult to correct.
When fall rosters are ready via ClassLink, you may re-establish the ClassLink sync by scheduling a new job.
If you have questions about making end-of-year roster changes in ClassLink, please reach out to our team, so that we can help ensure your data remains intact.
