Locked data tabs appear when student data comes from multiple sources in Forefront. This helps you quickly identify data that was entered by someone else.
Here are common situations when you'll see locked data tabs:
Student moved to a new class β Data entered by the previous teacher appears locked for the new teacher
Multiple people entering data β When a coach, intervention teacher, or other staff member adds data for a student in your gradebook, their entries show as locked
Data is imported β When data is ingested into Forefront from another platform
Locked tabs make it easy to see at a glance which data you entered versus data entered by others. This is especially helpful when collaborating with other educators on the same student's progress.
Troubleshooting Locked Data Tabs
To enter data, use the green plus sign at the bottom of the spreadsheet to add a new date tab. You can select a new date or use the same date as the existing tab.
To combine multiple tabs, use the three-dot menu on the locked tab to select "Move student data to," and transfer it to the new tab.
