Accessing Online Courses in Forefront

Learn how to access embedded professional learning to support your use of Forefront, the Universal Screeners for Number Sense (USNS), and more.

Users can access online courses to support their use of assessments and data within Forefront. If your district has a Forefront subscription and your Forefront account has been configured and rostered, you can access Professional Learning directly within Forefront.

Courses are hosted in Thinkific and include certificates of completion to verify professional learning hours.

Access professional learning in Forefront

If your account has access to Professional Learning, you can find it in the left-hand navigation menu in Forefront.

To access a course:

  1. Log in to Forefront.

  2. Select Professional Learning from the left-hand navigation.

  3. Browse the available courses.

  4. Select Sign up on the course you would like to enroll in.

  5. Follow the prompts to set up your Thinkific learning account.

Note: After enrolling, you will receive a separate email from Thinkific to set your password.

Important note about your course login

Once you enroll in a course, Thinkific, not Forefront, stores the login credentials you use to access your course account.

Thinkific stores your:

  • email address

  • password

  • course progress

  • certificates of completion

  • access to previously completed courses

This is especially important if you enroll in more than one course and want to return later to continue your learning or download certificates.

If you do not see Professional Learning in your account

If you do not see the Professional Learning option in the left-hand navigation, reach out to our support team. Our team can confirm whether the module has been enabled for your school or district account.

If your district has Forefront, but your account is not yet configured

If your district has a Forefront account, but your district has not yet been configured and rostered, staff may not yet have access to Professional Learning.

This is especially common when:

  • user accounts have not yet been set up

  • rostering has not been completed

  • staff access has not yet been uploaded into Forefront

To provide access for staff and teachers, please complete the attached data file template (linked below) and share it with [email protected] for upload into Forefront.

If your district is not a Forefront client

If your district is not currently a Forefront client, you can still explore available learning opportunities through free course previews or purchase a course directly.

To do so:

  1. Visit the course page that you wish to enroll in. View a full list of active courses at https://learning.forefront.education/

  2. Select Free preview to explore available preview content, or select Enroll Now to purchase the course.

Courses may include a certificate of completion that participants can use to verify professional learning hours.
