This report shows how students performed on each question in an assessment. This is the default report type teachers see when accessing reports directly from the spreadsheet.

Use this report type to identify which questions and concepts students mastered and which ones proved challenging. Look for trends to determine which concepts need whole group reteaching and which are better addressed through small group instruction.

This report shows student performance by individual standard. You can view standards from a specific assessment or unit, or select individual standards to focus on.

Use this report type to see how students are performing on specific standards and identify which ones need reteaching or reinforcement.

This report shows, for a standard, the opportunities for assessment and student proficiency on assessment questions for a specific standard.

Use this report type to monitor how students are performing on a standard across assessments, see how often a standard is assessed, identify upcoming assessment opportunities, and understand how question difficulty changes for that standard (click the assessment name below the bar to see the questions).

This report shows the proficiency of cohorts of students on selected entities. You can track progress for a single student, a class, a school, a district, or compare trends across multiple groups.

Use this report type to monitor whether students are making progress over time, identify trends in student performance, and celebrate student growth.

The Sankey Chart shows how the same cohort of students performs on one data point compared to another. This report type requires two entities, and you can click and drag entities into the desired order.

Use this report type to understand how student performance shifts between two data points and identify patterns in student progress.

Entities can be assessments, questions from assessments, and standards. Dig deeper into student performance patterns and changes by exploring different entity options.

This report shows student-by-student performance on an entity. The Data Table report is the only report that can be downloaded from the reporting suite and exported as a CSV file.

Use this report type to view individual student performance details, or to export data for analysis outside of Forefront.

Report Usage Tips

Sort by proficiency: Click the column header at the top of the entity column to sort students by proficiency level.

View numerical scores: Under ‘Display Proficiency’, toggle off the entity to see numerical scores instead of proficiency language.

Download the report: Click ‘Download’ to export the data table as a CSV file.

Add questions: Right click on the entity and select ‘Add questions’ to include student scores for each question.

The Score Histogram shows the distribution of numerical scores across selected students for an entity.

Use this report type to see how scores are spread across students, identify clusters of performance, and understand the range of student achievement on an assessment or standard.

The Proficiency Histogram shows how many students fall into each proficiency level for a selected entity.

Use this report type to see the overall distribution of student proficiency, identify which proficiency levels have the most or least students, and understand where a cohort of students stands as a whole.

This report shows the percentage of students within a selected cohort who have completed assessments for an entity.

Use this report type to track which students, classes, and schools have completed assessments, monitor progress toward completion, and identify cohorts who need reminders to finish assessments.

The Standard Wheel displays student proficiency across multiple standards.

Use this report type to see proficiency across multiple standards at a glance, identify student strengths and gaps across standards, and understand overall mastery on subject specific or grade level expectations.

The Correlation Statistics report shows statistical relationships between different entities.

Use this report type to understand how different entities relate to each other and to support assessment alignment validation within a curriculum.

This report shows performance on an assessment or questions from an assessment over time.

Use this report type to monitor how students improve on questions or assessments they’ve taken multiple times. This report works best for assessments given multiple times in full or when the entity is a single reassessed question from an assessment.
